Flight delay or cancellation claim email template
The best claim email is short, formal, and specific. No threats, no extra drama.
What the email should include
The email should include flight details, a short description of the disruption, what you request, and a list of attached evidence. If you request fixed compensation, state whether the issue was delay, cancellation, or denied boarding.
You do not need to quote pages of law. Precision is more useful than length.
Sample message
Dear Sir or Madam, I am submitting a claim for flight [flight number] from [from-to], scheduled on [date]. The flight was [delayed/cancelled/rerouted], and I arrived at my final destination [delay length] later than scheduled.
Please review my eligibility for fixed compensation and provide a reasoned response. I attach my booking confirmation, boarding pass, and available disruption messages. Please confirm receipt and provide a claim reference number.
If you also claim expenses
If you paid for meals, hotel, or transport because the airline did not provide care, mention that separately and attach receipts.
Separate fixed compensation from expense reimbursement. This reduces the risk that support answers only one part of the claim.
What to avoid
Avoid threats, insults, and long emotional explanations. If the case later needs manual review, clean professional communication helps.
If you are unsure whether the case is strong, submit the basic details through letkasni.rs first.
